More than 120 members of the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) turned out for two seminars on “Procedural Page Logic of the Database Systems” presented by P & L Consultants in the north and central areas of the state. AASP/NJ brought back one of the region’s most popular speakers, Larry Montanez, to conduct the seminar. Attendees who completed the course received a training certificate that can be used towards qualifying for renewal of the 2012 New Jersey Auto Body License.

In Totowa and Toms River, Montanez kept his audience informed and educated throughout the three-hour seminar, answering many questions in the unique style that has made him one of the country’s most sought-after presenters. Montanez touched on many subjects, including how to interpret and define the P-Pages for non-included procedures; additional procedures and materials; body, frame, refinish, mechanical and additional labor procedures and how to stay within family groups to ensure that procedures are not omitted; how to increase profits by showing items repairers may not have been charging for; and how to utilize the DEG to fix database omissions. Montanez also provided an overview of dealing with the CCC/Motors, Audatex and Mitchell estimating systems.

“We were very happy with the turnout,” AASP/NJ Executive Director Charles Bryant said, “but we weren’t surprised. With the need to renew licenses this year and the addition of a speaker like Larry, we were pretty confident our members would turn out despite it being the heart of the summer.”
