Industry Shows Support For AASP/NJ’s 10th Annual Lou Scoras Memorial Golf Outing

Nearly 100 of the automotive repair industry’s finest turned out for the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ)’s 10th Annual Lou Scoras Memorial Golf Outing, the association’s yearly event honoring the former association member.

Representatives from all facets of the industry, including members of the Scoras family, attended the annual fundraiser, with partial proceeds from the event going to a scholarship in Scoras’ name. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years,” AASP/NJ Executive Director Charles Bryant says. “But every year, it just keeps getting better and better. It’s pretty easy to get people to support the event when they hear Lou’s name. He meant so much to so many people. The tournament is just one small way AASP/NJ can help keep his memory alive.”

Guests were treated to a full day of golf followed by a cocktail reception and dinner at the elegant Colonia Country Club in Colonia, NJ. Golfers were also treated to a fabulous luncheon. AASP/NJ Board member Joe Amato hosted the after-dinner ceremony, which featured door prizes and recollections of Lou by AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell, Treasurer Tom Elder and Lou’s brother Randy.

Bryant took the time to thank the many sponsors whose support helps make the event happen year after year. “We are very fortunate to have the types of vendors who step up year in and year out,” he said. “All of your support is appreciated more than you know.
