Over 160 industry professionals gathered for the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ)’s two Aluminum Repair Training meetings this past week. The two-hour meetings were held in Totowa and Toms River, New Jersey and presented by P&L Consultants’ Larry Montanez.

Both evenings of training offered an overview of new metals and other substrates, aluminum repair equipment requirements and unknown procedures. Montanez, in his unique, popular style, kept attendees engaged throughout the meetings with a straight-talking multi-media presentation. “One thing you can say about Larry is that he commands your attention,” says AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell. “In today’s world, where everyone seems to have a limited attention span, you need someone to be dynamic if they want to get the message across. As an association, it’s our obligation to inform our members in any way we can.”

All attendees received a training certificate that will qualify toward renewal of their 2014 New Jersey Auto Body License adding to the importance of the meetings. “We had such a great demand for seats, we are looking to schedule additional meetings before the renewal period is up at the end of September,” adds Charles Bryant, AASP/NJ Executive Director. AASP/NJ will post the meeting dates as soon as they are available.
