NORTHEAST™ 2011 to Host Collision Industry Conference at the Meadowlands

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ)’s 34th annual NORTHEAST™ 2011 Automotive Services Show will welcome the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) in March. The CIC, one the industry’s most prominent and influential organizations, will hold its semi-annual meeting at the AASP/NJ’s flagship event on March 17, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands Hotel in Secaucus, NJ. NORTHEAST™ 2011 begins the following day and runs through March 20 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center.

“Coming to the Northeast region provides a chance for different participants and different perspectives to enter the CIC forum,” says CIC Administrator Jeff Hendler. “The prime location of the Meadowlands area will offer a wide variety of professionals the chance to attend and participate in CIC. It’s always a pleasure to be part of NORTHEAST™ and it’s been a long time since CIC was held in this area, so we are looking forward to NORTHEAST™ 2011.”

“We are thrilled to have CIC back at NORTHEAST™,” AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell says. “I think this is another example of how the NORTHEAST™ show is growing in the eyes of the industry. Having the CIC here is more proof that our industry looks at NORTHEAST™ as a ‘must-attend’ event, especially in this part of the country.”

Hendler says the CIC is looking forward to accomplishing many goals at the NORTHEAST show. “With a new CIC chairman in place [Michael Quinn, co-founder of Tucson, Arizona-based 911 Collision Centers, will be taking over as CIC Chairman in January 2011], CIC will be setting new committee structures for the coming year. This installment of CIC will afford industry members the opportunity to discuss new issues while also hopefully resolving some old issues.”

The CIC is a forum where collision industry stakeholders come together to discuss issues, build broad understanding, find common ground and communicate to the industry at-large, findings and possible solutions.
