AASP/NJ’s 5th Annual Young Technician Awards Nomination Deadline March 3

3.3.25 – AASP/NJ’s 48th Annual NORTHEAST® 2025 Automotive Service Show – set for March 14-16 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center (MEC) in Secaucus, NJ – has become the second-largest show of its kind in the nation by continuing to provide automotive and collision repair professionals a first look at the newest innovations in equipment and resources, access to the best educational offerings on this side of the country, plus tons of fun on and off the show floor.

NORTHEAST also provides AASP/NJ the opportunity to carry out its mission to support and inspire the next generation of collision repair professionals, which they do every year by conducting its Young Technician of the Year Award ceremony during its flagship event. Thanks to a generous donation from Spark Underwriters and World Insurance Associates, AASP/NJ will grant two up-and-coming technicians/painters employed at a shop or studying at a technical high school in New Jersey. Each award recipient will receive $2,500 in tools and equipment to help them build their toolkit toward a successful career in collision repair.

“Getting new blood into this profession sure has its challenges, so whatever we can do to help young people pursue this career is an absolute must,” shares AASP/NJ President Ken Miller. “Tools and supplies are costly and this gives them a headstart toward a promising career. AASP/NJ is so grateful to Spark Underwriters and World Insurance Associates for their generosity enabling us to continue this worthwhile event at NORTHEAST for the fifth consecutive year.”

The award ceremony – set for 2pm on Saturday, March 15 – is always one of the many noted highlights on the NORTHEAST 2025 floor. There is just so much to see and do at NORTHEAST 2025. Attendees up and down the East Coast make the trip to the Garden State every year to walk the aisles lined with 100-plus exhibitors and take part in the educational programs (sponsored by AirPro Diagnostics) featuring some of the industry’s most notable speakers tackling some of the hottest topics and concerns. There’s also chances to win a NORTHEAST Dollar bill worth $500, compete in the fun and friendly Third Annual Bodywork Bowl Collision Repair Skills Competition and more!
