  • Manage the financial affairs of AASP/NJ
  • Develop and review annual budget
  • Review past, current and future trends to provide recommendations to the Board of Directors as appropriate
  • Administer and report on association financials

  • Oversee bylaws that govern AASP/NJ’s daily operations
  • Review bylaws regularly and amend as necessary to best serve membership

  • Promote the future success of the automotive repair industry through cultivation of meaningful relationships with those influencing policy affecting our members

  • Help advance legislation that will help member businesses, and speak out against legislation that could impact members negatively

  • Grow and retain the mechanical repair sector of AASP/NJ membership
  • Brainstorm ideas for mechanical repair-focused member initiatives

  • Utilize our communication channels to help educate the consumer
  • Cultivate and maintain an active social media presence

  • Collaborate with organizations at the local, regional and national level on issues affecting AASP/NJ members and industry members nationwide
  • Presence and participation in industry-related events and meetings
  • Identify and create opportunities for collaboration among groups sharing AASP/NJ’s mission and goals

  • Create and implement AASP/NJ scholarship opportunities
  • Solicit candidates for scholarship programs and select recipients
  • Review and add additional initiatives as applicable
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities to collaborate with outside organizations to fortify scholarship programs as appropriate
