6.5.23 – There are many factors involved in running a successful collision repair business. One of those factors is protecting your shop and your customers’ best interests. With this in mind, the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) will host “Understanding the Laws and Regulations Governing Auto Repair and Auto Body Shops” on Thursday, June 15 at 6:30pm at the Holiday Inn in Clark, NJ.

One of New Jersey’s top automotive attorneys will provide an overview on how to develop a strong contract to protect your shop and customers. Shop owners will learn how to satisfy legal requirements to ensure their businesses are compliant with state law and will gain knowledge on how to avoid penalties and potentially costly lawsuits.

AASP/NJ Board member Ken Miller stresses the importance of how understanding the law and developing a solid repair authorization is key to success in this day and age.

“It’s fundamental in not just protecting your business interests, but the best interests of your customers as well,” says Miller. “It’s a first step toward moving forward as an industry. It is time to step away from the old time mentality of running a shop like our fathers once did. In order to survive in this challenging industry, we have to work toward running professional and profitable businesses.”

Cost is $35 per member company; $75 for non-members. To register or to learn more about AASP/NJ, visit aaspnj.org.
